Marcos Ambrose will make his debut with JTG Daugherty Racing at Indianapolis, while two-time Cup Series champion Terry Labonte again will drive for Petty Enterprises in the Allstate 400 at the Brickyard (1 p.m. ET Sunday on ESPN).
Former NBA player Brad Daugherty announced last week that he has become a partner in JTG Racing that currently fields two Nationwide Series cars, and that JTG Daugherty Racing will have a Cup Series ride in 2009 with Ambrose.
Ambrose has one Cup Series start, at Sonoma on June 22, and is 12th in Nationwide points through 21 races.
Labonte again is subbing for Kyle Petty in the No. 45 Dodge. Petty, who has not raced since Charlotte, wrapped up his six-race stint as an analyst for TNT at Chicago.
Labonte has been behind the wheel of the car since Pocono and his average finish in six races is 27.5. He is eligible for the past champion's provisional; the No. 45 is 41st in owner points and outside the top 35 guaranteed a starting position.
