A recap of all the exciting action this past weekend from Dover and Las Vegas:

Figuratively speaking

6 -- Number of times a driver has won consecutive Chase races since the Chase began in 2004. Jimmie Johnson won three in a row in 2004 and four in a row in 2007. Four drivers have won two in a row: Carl Edwards in 2005, Tony Stewart in 2006, Jeff Gordon in 2007 and Greg Biffle this season. Biffle is the first to win the first two races of the Chase.

Cup Series

Pit Crew of the Week

No 48. Chevrolet: Who else? Crew chief Chad Knaus called for a two-tire stop and air-pressure adjustment on Lap 200 and the 48 car was first out of the pits, marking a 12-spot improvement. Jimmie Johnson led his first laps of the race and from there coasted to the title.

Tip of the Week

Radiators are often ignored. Yet keeping engines cool and running in the right temperature range is critical to taking the heat off your engine.

• Greg Biffle doubled up on last week's victory at New Hampshire with a thrilling win Sunday in the Camping World RV 400 at Dover. With a determined run down the backstretch, Biffle passed Roush Fenway teammate Matt Kenseth on Lap 392 and opened a lead that reached .934 seconds at the finish. The glory day for the Roush teams was a nightmare for Kyle Busch, the top seed entering the Chase. Engine problems ultimately forced Busch into the garage and out of the race after 172 laps.

Off the Marx

Bill Marx of Sporting News Wire Service weighs in with his top 10:

Pos. Driver Need to know ...
1. Greg Biffle Two in a row. Is he going to win all 10?
2. Jimmie Johnson Snags fourth top-five in a row.
3. Carl Edwards Evidently Edwards has replaced Denny Hamlin as the guy who finishes third every week.
4. Kevin Harvick Harvick's eight-week run of top-10s is impressive, but that's not going to win him the championship.
5. Jeff Burton Burton has returned to his top-10 ways but, like Richard Childress Racing teammate Harvick, needs wins and top-fives to win the title.
6. Clint Bowyer Bowyer is moving in unison with his RCR buddies.
7. Jeff Gordon Gordon made some noise with his third pole of the season, then went quietly into the top 10.
8. Tony Stewart Smoke didn't compete for the win but finished high enough to keep the points leaders in sight.
9. Kyle Busch/Denny Hamlin What's going on here?
10. Mark Martin The wily one is our second "Non-Chaser of the Week." He picked up his 10th top-10 in 19 races Sunday.
